Les — Photo Swipe Cleaner
The short version
Les does not upload your photos to its servers. Photo review and personal stats are designed to work on your device. Les does not create a separate server-side photo library or account for you.
Photo access
Les needs access to the photos you allow Android to make available so it can show them for review, navigate your library, and request a move to Android Trash when you choose to do so.
Les does not copy your original photos into its own private storage. A Trash candidate is only a local decision until you review the candidates and confirm Android's system Trash request.
Data stored on your device
To provide the app's core features, Les may store local records such as photo identifiers, album names, sorting timestamps, available size/format/dimensions, your review decisions, resume position, and personal statistics.
These records are stored in the app's local database. Clearing Les app data or uninstalling the app may remove this review history and personal statistics.
Photos and sensitive metadata
Les does not send photos, thumbnails, MediaStore identifiers or URIs, filenames, album names, EXIF data, GPS data, or photo capture times through its optional usage-reporting interface.
Les also does not use an advertising ID, Google account, or permanent installation identifier for that reporting.
Optional usage reporting
Usage reporting is designed to be off by default. If a released version offers this option and you enable it, Les may send limited aggregate information generated after opt-in, such as app version, Android API level, processing date, review-count changes, Trash-count changes, known Trash-byte totals, and a retry-safe batch identifier.
Turning the setting off removes unsent usage batches on the device. Because this reporting is not tied to a permanent user identifier, previously received anonymous aggregate records may not be attributable to a specific person for later deletion.
Feedback and support
If you choose to send feedback, the information you submit can include the message itself, an optional reply email, and optional app or OS information. Please do not include photos or sensitive personal information in feedback.
Before public launch: set supportEmail in site.config.mjs.
Sharing a photo
If you use Les's share action, Android lets you choose another app to receive the current photo. Les grants that selected app temporary read access to the original photo URI. The receiving app's own privacy practices apply after you choose to share.
Website and service providers
This website is hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure. Standard network and security data, such as IP-related connection information, may be processed by the hosting provider as part of delivering and protecting the service.
If optional app usage reporting or in-app feedback services are enabled in a released build, their actual use and providers must remain consistent with this notice and the Google Play Data safety disclosure.
Your choices
- You can change Les's photo permissions through Android settings.
- You can cancel an Android Trash confirmation instead of moving the selected candidates.
- You can clear Les app data or uninstall the app to remove its local review history and personal statistics.
- If optional usage reporting is available, you can leave it off or turn it off later.
